The Thai government lists Wat Po as the finest of all the royal temples in Thailand. It houses Thailand's famous, gilded "RECLINING BUDDHA"... a sight that must be seen! I have visited Wat Po numerous times over the last 40'ish years and am continually amazed at its beauty & grandeur! Built in the 16th century on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, it houses the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand. Additionally... it is the birthplace of traditional THAI MASSAGE.

Directly across the river from Wat Po we will visit Bangkok's iconic 280 ft. tall "Temple of Dawn"!

Founded in the 14th century and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ayutthaya was once one of the world's richest cities and at it's height housed close to 1 million people making it the largest city in the world at that time. Only a 1 hour drive from our riverside hotel a visit to the wonderful temple ruins at Ayutthaya will serve as a fun day trip on our Tantra In Paradise, Temples tour!

Just 3 blocks from our hotel is the worlds most famous, eclectic & entertaining International Backpacker entertainment district. Great food... great souvenirs... great massages... and spectacular people watching!

You won't find many (if any) tourists in this cluster of Buddha warehouses that I stumbled onto decades ago..... only row after row of "hundreds" of life-size (and larger) gold Buddhas preparing to be sold to temples. It's quite an otherworldly sight...and a great place to purchase a (smaller) Buddha statue at wholesale prices!

 Wat Saket, also known as the Golden Mount, is a historic Buddhist temple. It is renowned for its distinctive golden chedi (stupa) situated atop a man-made hill, offering panoramic views. The temple was established during the Ayutthaya period.
